This 27 year old pitcher hails from Ranburne, Alabama. Whitley attended Troy University and is a proud former member of the Troy University Baseball Team. Whitley joined the Biscuits in July for three rehab starts. He was recently reactivated by the Rays and optioned back to the Biscuits.  He was selected by the Yankees in the 15th round of the 2010 draft and was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays prior to the 2016 season.
